Welcome!
Our podcast is meant to capture honest conversations between two generations of South Asian women. Our aunt and niece relationship is special because even though we may challenge each other’s beliefs, we always end up laughing at the end of it all, strengthening our bond. So join us, as we embark on this authentic and fun journey of reflection and exploration.
No topic is off-limits.

Mabrooka (aka the Aunt/Khala)
I’m Mabrooka aka Mena Khala. I’m a high school teacher by training and a lifelong learner of all things. I was born in Lahore, Pakistan but raised in Maryland, USA. I love working out, watching movies, and volunteering for causes that build community.

Unum (aka the Niece)
I’m Unum. 30-something, first generation, eldest daughter to a Pakistani family. Sometimes I have good jokes. In my spare time, I read, travel, listen to crime podcasts and dabble in the occasional video game.
